Climate Oman

Plenty of sunshine...

The best period to travel to Oman is from October to April, when sunny days are not too hot (about 30°C  – 86°F) and the sea is warm and calm.

During the summer months in the North of the country around Muscat, the subtropical climate goes with high temperatures and humidity.

Milder temperatures and a more temperate climate are found in the southern Dhofar region which experiences heavy monsoon rain between June and September each year.
At this period of the year, bathing is forbidden in the surroundings of Salalah for safety reasons. But the lush greenery that covers the ground during this short period of time creates a magnificent scenery.
