The small Soneva Gili coral island lies in the north of Male atoll, only 15 minutes away from Male airport by boat. Built in 2001, this idyllic environment-friendly resort features luxuriously appointed over-water villa suites accessible by wooden footbridges.

“Intelligent Luxury” is the motto of the 45 villas designed in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature. The entirely organic interior design is made from wood grown in sustainable forests, natural materials and traditional fabrics while providing all the modern facilities of a first-class hotel. Each villa is fitted with air conditioning, a safe, a mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, butler service, a hair-dryer, a satellite TV, DVD and CD players, a telephone. The following activities are free of charge for hotel guests : Hobie Cat sailing, canoe tours, tennis, volley ball, badminton, table tennis and petanque. At an extra cost: PADI diving school, deep-sea fishing, snorkelling, speed boat cruises, water-skiing. Designed in a separate over-water bungalow, the Six Senses Spa offers a wide array of facial and body beauty treatments as well as a steaming bath, a sauna and a fitness center.
