Location
The luxurious Island Hideaway, opened in August 2005, lies in the idyllic Haa Alifu Atoll in the Northern part of the Maledives on the half moon shaped island Donakulhi. The upscale villas are located in the midst of coconut palm trees or directly on the long sandy beach with its own house reef and offer a beautiful view of the Indian Ocean. Hanimaadhoo airport can be reached with a 45 minute inland flight from the main island Male. The subsequent transfer by speedboat takes about 20 minutes.

Gastronomy
Guests of the Island Hideaway can let their taste buds be spoiled around the clock. The restaurant „Matheefaru“ serves international dishes and specialties from the grill in a beautiful atmosphere with a view of the ocean. In the restaurant „Gaafushi“ gourmets enjoy Indian, Japanese and Maldivian cuisine. „Meeru Bar“ offers the largest assortment of malt whiskey in the Indian Ocean. Additionally, guests can dine in the private atmosphere of their villas and choose from a large selection of international dishes.

Sports and Wellness
The intact underwater world with a house reef only ten to 30 meters away is ideal for snorkeling excursions. Divers have their choice of over 20 spectacular diving sites in close vicinity. The in house diving school Meridis Dive offers the latest technology and brand name equipment. Biking, jogging, yoga and the Indonesian martial art Silat, tennis, table tennis as well as beach volleyball are also available. A water-sport center and a modern fitness studio round out the large sport offering at the resort. The exclusive Hideaway Spa, elegantly furnished with a combination of teak and coconut wood, pampers people looking for relaxation with a variety of treatments for all senses.
