Since 10 years Dubai has been witnessing a huge growth and development. Amazing buildings have risen and the originality and quality of the designs woes visitors. The latest project was the highest tower in the world, Burj Khalifa, which can be visited.The most famous building of Dubai which is comparable to the Eiffel tower for Paris is surely the magnificent 7 star hotel the Burj al Arab (pictured above along the Jumeirah Beach).
2. The beaches
Along the coast of the Persian gulf, unspoiled white sand beaches are common. The most developed and nicest one is Jumeirah beach. It hosts an array of top class international hotels such as the Burj al Arab, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the Madinat Jumeirah, the One&Only Royal Mirage, the Westin, Hilton and more...The Palm Jumeirah and the Palm Jebel Ali will add about 60 kilometres of beachfront to Dubai and increase UAE's shoreline by 166%! The quality of hotels in Dubai is stunning. From the beach to the city and even in the desert, tourists will be amazed by the luxury, design and overall quality of the available hotels.Dining is a very important component of Dubai too. Dubai is THE place to go shopping! In the very modern shopping malls such as the Dubai Mall, the Mall of the Emirates (Picture), but although the very exclusive Wafi Mall, shopping aficionados will be spoiled.Apart from international brands, local jewelery and gold, carpets from Iran or just spices can be purchased at low price in comparison to the western world.

Dubai and the Emirates in general is a fabulous place for a golf vacation. The sheer variety and quality of the courses is stunning. 6. The desert
An excursion in the desert with an experienced driver is surely an unforgettable experience. This is called dune-bashing and it is simply very fun. The pilot drive fast but safely on the dunes making sure that adrenaline level raises. It is the desert most famous roller-coaster ride! Usually this excursion end up with a dinner in a typical Arabic desert camp where food and drinks will be served. Entertainment is as well planned as belly dancers animate the evening...
7. Hot air ballon adventure
It is surely great to visit a country on the ground, but it takes a drastic different dimension a few hundred meters above it. These trips usually take place early morning and let you view the desert at dawn. Amazing...
8. Sunset cruise on the Creek
Dubai is divided in two by its creek. This is a great part of the city and visiting it on a dhow (traditional wooden boat) is surely unique. It is even better to cruise while enjoying a top class arabic meal served on board.
9. Skiing
It sounds a bit weird but yes you can ski in Dubai. You can not only ski on sand (on a snowboard) you can ski on real man-made snow in the Mall of the Emirates at ski Dubai. It is amazing to see the quality of the slopes while thinking you are indoor in one very hot environment. Ski Dubai did it...
10. Water Parc - Beat the heat
There are two fabulous Water parks in Dubai. The Jumeirah group Wild Wadi and the Atlantis brand new Aquaventure. Great fun for adults and children with some pretty impressive landscaping and design. Both parks offer great themed rides (such as the leap of faith pictured on the left) which will surely help you to beat the heat...
